Elegant Lombard villa, in the ancient time it was the home of the Rucellai, instead during the twentieth century the home of the Visconti di Modrone. The three-storey villa was built in 1850 by the architect Giuseppe Balzaretti, completely and then renovated in 1959. The villa is surrounded by a large park, full of centuries-old trees, ancient oaks and flowers with unique colors, that spreads in about two hectares, bordering on the east side with the Golf dei Laghi, an 18-hole course. The villa develops in a main hall and two side rooms, in addition to the painted atrium at the entrance. Some rooms feature elegant wooden coffered ceilings. The fireplace room, is still functional and made of stone, is characterized by large windows, overlooking the terrace and the garden. The two side rooms still retain the ancient parquet and the high ceiling decorated in stucco. Downstairs there are the particular cellars with vaulted ceilings, with exposed bricks. In the 1980s it was used as a restaurant and hotel. The cellars are accessed via the atrium staircase inside the villa or from the veranda via a suggestive path. Upstairs we find the master bedrooms characterized once again by coffered ceilings and terraces overlooking the lake. Elegance, charm and privacy are elements that characterize the precious property.
